G.I. Joe is a covert military group that routinely fights against the organization known as Cobra. Originally a series of action figures, Marvel comics would launch a comic series that would later spawn a short movie series as well. Though the comics were originally envisioned as a way to sell more toys, writer Hama took the job seriously, turning what could have been a lackluster series into one with an ever-growing fanbase through the years.
